Like any industry, some agents are more efficient than others, some are more polite than others, and some are just hard work.

The first agent who shows you through a property is the agent that you must deal with for that property.  If you see a property for the first time at an open home, you must deal with the agent at the open home if you wish to make an offer on that property.

However, you don’t have to take pot luck.  Any Harcourts agent can show you any Harcourts property, and this is also true for any other company. 

When you see a property you like, call your preferred agent instead of the person named on the ad.  If you are planning to go to open homes in the weekend, call your agent during the week and let them know.  They will inform their colleague, and then you get to work with someone you know and trust on every property.
